Age: 30's.
Something that doesn't require much styling.
Medium length.
Pics please! ThanksWhat are some good women's hairstyles for fine, thin hair?
Try the U-shape for your hair, coz it will look its thick. If your try the V-shape or layered it will make your hair more thinner. Plus the U-shape is less maintenance. What are some good women's hairstyles for fine, thin hair?
I have fine thin hair also. I had mine cut short for the summer. Why not do this and then in the Fall let it grow back out.

Do a Lot of Men Think It's Funny to Ruin a Woman's Hairstyle?
Bear with me on this question, I don't want to sound shallow. My ex boyfriend always joked about paying to get my hair done. Afterwards he'd mess it up because he paid for it, which is why I never took him up on that offer and moral conflict too.
On Valentine's Day I took 45 minutes to do a new hairstyle for him and he thought it was hilarious to mess it up later that night. What is up with that? I know other guys (not necessarily friends) who feel the same way.
Do they not know how long it takes to get hair done? Sitting there smelling a mix of spritz and curling wax, sitting under a hot dryer for long periods of time, neck pain, numbing butt, occasional hot iron burns, etc.
I don't understand what makes them think they can do such a thing, it's not funny at all. If I paid for him to get his hair braided or beard trimmed and then ran my electric shaver across it and made a patch on his head it wouldn't be funny nor right at all.Do a Lot of Men Think It's Funny to Ruin a Woman's Hairstyle?
Maybe you should wait until he's asleep and then shave a smiley face onto the back of his head. This would give him an opportunity to demonstrate his appreciation of hairstyle humour.
Or maybe it's time to talk seriously to him about it. If he really thinks it's funny and doesn't know you don't like his messing it up, you probably should set him straight rather than keep letting it bother you.Do a Lot of Men Think It's Funny to Ruin a Woman's Hairstyle?
You know you're in trouble when a question from a woman starts out ';Bear with me on this question, I don't want to sound shallow. ';
So you've basically admitted that it's a shallow question. That's a good start.
And to answer the question : If she gets as riled up as you do I think it would be goddamn hilarious to mess up her hairstyle.
We women are obsessed with our hair, aren't we? We spend loads of money on it, loads of time on it, its our crowning glory!
I think that subconsciously, blokes do this because in some small childish way, it makes them feel like they have got one up on us, and makes them feel a little teeny weeny bit superior, and in control.
First of all, you should not sit under a hot, bubbling stew of toxic hair chemicals.
Second of all, yes, it is hilarious to ruin a chick's hair if she is the type that goes through that whole ordeal.
Nothing funny about ruining a woman's hair -- but I have to admit -- there's something funny about messing with the vanity of a woman who's consumed by her vanity.
They do it because they actually don't like your hair to be all ';done'; - guys like the natural look for the most part, not that artificial crap. So stop wasting your money honey.
Sorry if this isn't a proper answer but I HATE it when guys do that. I have no idea why they do it, do they want a slap? lol
:]
Haha it sure is funny, especially when they make a big deal out of it. It happens to me but I really just don't care...
I suppose it just depends on how he is messing it up ...you weren't very specific ...like was he blowing his load in it or what???
How did he mess up your hair? This has never happened to me before.
boo hoo hoo, poor you.

Men, does a woman's hairstyle matter?
Do you guys care if it's polished and styled or if it's messy?Men, does a woman's hairstyle matter?
It depends from guy to guy. Personally, you should at least do something with it and not leave it a mess. It doesn't have to be polished, just fixed up. (messy hair is sexy when a couple is real comfortable with each other). =]Men, does a woman's hairstyle matter?
It doesn't need to be polished and styled, but it has to look like she has taken an effort in making herself presentable.
umm not really, if i like the girl...
I know I'm only one guy, but alot of my impression of how a girl looks is the way she has her hair done. Personally, i prefer straight long hair, nothing to fancy. Make it neat, but don't spend an hour on it!

I need to find a woman's hairstyle that draws attention to the jawline..?
I've been looking for hairstyles that makes the jawline appear more prominent. Would a short haircut/bob that hits right at the jaw accomplish that?
Perhaps something like this?
(Not the bangs, just the rest of it.)

I need to find a woman's hairstyle that draws attention to the jawline..?
people's eyes tend to focus at endpoints, so I would think a haircut such as that, that ends at the jaw, would draw more attention to it.I need to find a woman's hairstyle that draws attention to the jawline..?
A bob like posh spice had would work.
a bob or like a short a-line
that would be cute!!!!

I think a short hair style would do it ,caus if you have a bob thas long at the front it will hide your jaw line.Go for a short feathery spikey cut so your jaw line isnt coverd. If youve got it flaunt it!!!!!

What is the name of this women's hairstyle?
I think it's really sexy. I asked my roommate this and he called it a bun. To me a bun is when a girl has her hair tied back in a ball. I like that kind of bun, too. What is the name of this one though? I really like it a lot. It's when a woman has her hair pulled back in a hair clip and has her bangs sort of teathered out. It's the way Sarah Palin does her hair. I don't like Sarah Palin at all, but I love the way she does her hair.
My personal favorites are braided pigtails, French braids, and this hairstyle. What is the name of it ladies and gents? Is there a specific name for it?

I like my hair.
It's a graduated bob, with short layers at the back.
I use wax and then kind of stick them up, so it's not flat. Tousled.
It looks really nice. Everyone compliments me (even some odd girl on the street who I haven't talked to for about 6 years...)
Oh and it's assymetrical. One side longer than the other.

Dunno about trends, but I like short hair on a lady. Pink is good too.
Long hair that needs hours of washing, drying, spraying, brushing, sculpting ... is a big turn-off for me.
Kind of like mine.
Swept back, tied at the back, back combed ponytail, with strands down the sides. Great for daywear, and nights out.
Straight layered hair
Layered hair in a high ponytail
Layered hair with bangs
Curly layered hair.
Basically, anything layered. and also dying hair from medium -%26gt; dark brown.
I like em bald baby!
Bowl cuts LOL!

Anyone know ACTUAL websites to find photos of women's hairstyles? (Please don't suggest I google hairstyles!)
I've TRIED typing ';hairstyles'; or ';photos of women's hairstyles,'; etc. into my web search, but virtually all that ever comes up is websites that have nothing but links to other websites, but no actual hairstyle pictures. DOES ANYONE know of any good websites that show actual photos of women's hairstyles to choose from - like in a magazine? (Obviously, I can buy a magazine, and I'll try that avenue, I'd just like to try the Internet as well.) Again, I'd appreciate it if people don't suggest that I simply google hairstyles. I've tried that, and it almost always leads to other links, but no actual photos of hairstyles. Thanks!Anyone know ACTUAL websites to find photos of women's hairstyles? 1930s women's hairstyles?
We're going to have 'authentic 1930s hairstyles' for our spring musical (Anything Goes) at school. I have mediumish long (shoulder-length) very curly (ringletty, pretty much) hair, just wondering what they'll do with it. =D
Thanks!1930s women's hairstyles?
Lucky for you curls were all the rage of the 30's and 40's, however, you will still need to use curlers to get ';uniform'; curls with your hair.
Check out this website for how to do your hair:
http://www.nocturne.com/swing/hair/hair.鈥?/a>
They have step by step instructions and photos on how to style your hair.
The first thing you have to do is determine if you can do the style that you want . Hair was cut to the same length everywhere on the head (so if you ahve bangs, you'll have trouble doing these hair styles). Long hair is ok, and actually a good thing because it let's you do more with your hair.
To prep your hair, you'll need to curl it (don't use a curling iron). You'll want to use ';Setting Lotion'; when you curl your hair with sponge curlers or pin curls to get your curls to be uniform (let set until dry, or sleep in your curlers). When you curl your hair, you'll also want to do it in layers as indicated on the website (think rows of where you want to put rolls). You'll want a row of curls (curling the hair back) that follows your face around the top and sides.
When styling your hair, don't get frustrated if it takes a while. You will need a lot of hair spray and bobby pins. Even using this, your hair may not do what you want it to do, because it takes a while to train your hair to style the way you want it to.
You'll probably want some waves or curls on the front top and sides, then put the rest of your hair in a hair net or snood (you'll want to brush it out big after you curle it so that it fills the hair net uniformly), or let your curls hang for a ';Shirly Temple'; type look.
Practice, practice, practice! As you style your hair like this more often, it becomes easier, and your hair easier to manage. I have a friend who does WWII reinacting and she can put her hair in pin curls while driving to work!
I hope that helps!1930s women's hairstyles?
Time to go to the movies! There's always Shirley Temple, but Little Miss Moppet might be a tad young for your part.
Jean Harlow sported lots of curls at and below her ears.
Rita Hayworth, smooth and silky, was at the end of the decade, probably later than they would have in mind.
Ginger Rogers wore her hair up and down, with smooth rolls, and some wide curls.
Ethel Merman was featured in Anything Goes - she often wore shoulder length hair, turning out away from her face.
Claudette Colbert was big - You might try horizontal Marcel waves trailing down on your shoulders.
Irene Dunn wore her hair back with curls at her ear/jaw line.
There was Billie Burke, even before The Wizard of Oz, with shoulder length hair in tight curls.
Norma Shearer wore medium length hair often with a tight pincurl mass.
And of course Katherine Hepburn - hair to her shoulders with a soft wave, even before Philadelphia Story.
Fear not - the Flapper Bob was never as all encompassing as the portrayals of the Roaring Twenties would lead you to assume!
Here's a picture of Patti LuPone in Anything Goes with hair that sounds similar to yours. Looks like maybe barrettes would be cute!
This is one of my favorite shows...sooooo fun!

Do you think women's hairstyles are too shaggy nowadays?
I think some can look cool, but it's not for everyone.
Also, you answered my Lost question and said you missed a few episodes...well, you know you can go to abc.com and they have the last 4 episodes up currently, and usually they put the entire season's episodes up between seasons so i'm sure they will do that soon. You didn't have a contact so I answered here instead. :)Do you think women's hairstyles are too shaggy nowadays?
i think shaggy hairstyles look pretty good. wait .. do you mean the short shaggy hairstyles or the long? cause the long ones look pretty good..erythema

Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?
I say the 80's...the teased out big hair was just awful !!Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?
All the decades where I was not alive. I can't appreciate them since I never witnessed them except in pictures.Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?
I;m not sure Kacie, I would have to say the 1910 when women didn't have rights and had to wear that stupid bonnet Talk about lack of hairstyle or choice i should say. I like todays hairstyles on women looks so licious.
Ha ha, I agree; the 80's for sure!
I'd have to agree !! I cringe when I see some 80's photos
I'd say the 80's LOL
I'd say cave women had it the worst...they'd spend all day at the salon and the guys would hit them in the head and drag them home by their hair..
Yes I would agree the 80's, but the men didn't do any better that decade. Curly perms for guys were all the rage, and how can you ever forget the hairstyles inspired by the band ';A Flock of Seagulls';?
http://ec3.images-amazon.com/images/P/B0鈥?/a>
Then there was the black men's 80's hairstyle of a tall afro with a flat top and razored sides. Add to all of this a brightly dyed leather waist length jacket with huge shoulder pads and a v shaped zippered front and you have one hideous decade of fashion for all. It's a wonder all breeding didn't stop and the human race die out during the 80's!!!
Yeah the 80's I'd agree.
Well, after recently seeing my 8th grade picture where I had this huge peacock teased out monstrosity at the top of my forehead, I would have to say the 80's.
I mean, maybe it wouldn't have looked so bad if I had curly/frizzy hair or something but my hair was completely straight, except for my poofed out bangs.
What in the world was I thinking????
The 80's...PERM need i say more?
Those 50's buns or whatever they were, weren't to hot.
i am so with you! their hair was way too much, with that mousse build up and frizziness. it makes me pee myself from disgust. lol
well, lets go through them:
1920's: bob cut, not that bad.
1930's: curly bob, again, not bad. kind of cute actually, for that time.
1940's: curly updos-very elegant.
1950's: ponytails! cute
1960's: big with waves on the ends...minory strange, depending on the hairstyle
1970's: feathered hair, pretty basic
1980's: attack of the hairsprayed perms!!! i'm with you on this one.
I'd have to say the 1980's take the cake on this one, with the 1960's taking a close second.
the 80's are the worst, lol.
i hate big hari
ahaha the 80's were bad..
but when you think about it, the 80's defined a lotta modern day hair styles.
i would say the 90's!!
every woman had short butch hair!!!!
i agree

Why did women's hairstyles change in the 1920s?
i'm pretty sure it was because of the ';roaring 20s'; and because women started to work in factories and what not but I'm not exactly sure. Can someone please help? thanks in advanceWhy did women's hairstyles change in the 1920s?
Women suddenly had more freedom in the 1920s, and were sexually liberated (more than they had been in the past at least) it was an expression of rebellion. Skinny, smaller breasted women with loose dresses (flapper dresses) were fashionable, because this image was not aimed at men, if that makes sense? The boyish look was all about women being empowered, hence the short hair. It wasn't as direct as 'lets all rebel and crop our hair' but the fashion trend was influenced by this thought. Sorry for the clumsy wording lol.Why did women's hairstyles change in the 1920s?
Hair styles change constantly. Go to Google Images and look at how hairstyles changed from 1970 to 1980 to 1990. Very different.
It would be almost impossible to identify a specific event which might cause the hairstyle changes in the 20's. Part of it might be women working, but part of it is probably the easier to manage styles reflected the easy-going attitudes of popular culture. Less time spent fooling with the hair meant more time out having fun.
That said, there was also an air of rebellion in deliberately wearing the hair short, almost like men. In fact rebellion against the norm was a popular theme for the decade.
Growing up in the 60's I always thought there was irony in my Grandmother's era, the 20's. In the 1960's, nice girls were supposed to have shorter hair (not real, real short) and girls who were wild, or hippies had long hair. It was a sign of rebellion.
But until the 1920's, girls usually wore long, long hair, often up in buns or some other hair-do. I guess short hair was easier to take care of. I don't know about the factories, but more unmarried women were working in factories or offices after high school until they got married, usually at 20 or 21.
But it was considered very rebellious to 'bob' their hair and they were sometimes thought of as 'loose' women. Of course they wore shorter skirts, may have smoked and did other things they had not done in previous years.
In 1921, women en masse suddenly began wearing knee-length skirts鈥攁 fashion previously considered obscene鈥攁nd adopting the radically short haircut. These trends later evolved into the ';flapper'; look. The flapper image鈥攊mmortalized in F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story ';Bernice Bobs Her Hair,'; serialized in the Saturday Evening Post in 1920鈥攂ecame the icon of new social and sexual freedom for women in the 1920s.
From Shmoop/Roaring Twenties/Gender
i thinkl that too because they started to work their hair would have to be a little more sociable than when they were at home.

Do you prefer women's hairstyles where hair is curled under with a curling iron or curled back?
Both are cute looks. That's why I like having hair that's not curly - it's so versatile. :)Do you prefer women's hairstyles where hair is curled under with a curling iron or curled back?
I like it curled back, it opens up the face. Unless someone has a little teeny chicken face, curling towards it might help.Do you prefer women's hairstyles where hair is curled under with a curling iron or curled back?
curled back --- it opens up your face and shows off your features
flipped out
The shape of a persons face is the greatest determining factor here....but I really like the ';tousled'; look...the no-fuss, kinda messy (but NOT) natural wavy disheveled look. Am I even explaining this right?!!! Good Lord! I can't EVEN talk today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best women's hairstyles for receding/thin hair?
My g/f has had a receding hairline since highschool, and her hair is very thin. We were wondering if there were any good hairstyles for this or advice about gaining hair back/further hair loss prevention.
Thanks :)Best women's hairstyles for receding/thin hair?
idk.......Best women's hairstyles for receding/thin hair?
I think your best bet is to treat her to a upscale hair salon, people who really know alot about hair. Gauranteed a professional could find away to make her hair appear thicker. Depends on how fragile her hair, a perm or something may make a huge difference. Definitly take to a highly recommended hair stylist though. Good luck, it's really sweet that you're looking out for her!
Curls and waves. Many actresses wear hair extentions which mnake their hair look thicker than it is.

Can someone recommend a good book or DVD which shows how to do women's hairstyles?
I want to get a book or DVD like that for my girlfriend for christmas as she always complains that she cant ever do anything with her hair
Thanks in advanceCan someone recommend a good book or DVD which shows how to do women's hairstyles?
Er.....I am a boy, I seldom know about books on hair. But my GF bought a pink ghd hair styler, inside the box there's a DVD and a brochure on how to care your hair and step-by-step on making hairstyles.
I remember she bought it on www.ghdhairss.com, it's a not-bad website which is a online ghd shop, you don't have to even buy one, just click on one product, just like gold GHD or pink GHD, where there's a introduction as well as some hairstyles step-by-step, how to make your hairstyles for different kind of occasions.
Since she's got one ghd, now I really have no idea about what to buy her a X-MAS gift, otherwise, she would think nothing can beat but another ghd, lol
Hope can help,...ahhuh

http://www.vividinfinity.com/fingerwave/鈥?/a>What are some women's hairstyles of the 1950s?
there were many styles in the 50's, pincurls, beehives, pomps, and yes ponytails. Here are some sites:
http://www.fashion-era.com/1950s_glamour鈥?/a>
http://www.nocturne.com/swing/hair/hair.鈥?/a>
No the ponytail thing was from the 80's and 90's. A very popular hairstyle for teens was a ponytail, and for women curly hair, more curly on the bottom and just sort of wavy at the top. Bangs were also popular.
I thought the ponytail on the side came from the 80's. Oh well, they just repeat fashion and fads every 10 yrs. anyway:)erythema

What's a good website to look for women's hairstyles?
I want a new 'do, and maybe a new color, whats a good website to look at for a variety of different hairstyles? What's a good website to look for women's hairstyles?
Honestly, photobucket. That may sound a bit odd, but think of how many photos of people's hair is on there. Just search for long hair, blue hair, emo hair, whatever, and it'll show you tons of pictures. Thats how I found a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and I loved it.

I am a male who likes to wear women s Hairstyles. I wear my hair in a long bob with bangs.?
I am not gay or transgender. I just like the hairstyle. I have a lot of people telling me to get it cut like a mans cut. I really don't like mens haircuts. I keep my hair clean and styled, with regular trims. Why are people so uptight about how people wear their hair? The way I figure it, It's my hair and I take care of it. Why does it bother other people?I am a male who likes to wear women s Hairstyles. I wear my hair in a long bob with bangs.?
You gotta do what you like..its your hair and your entitled to style it the way you want no matter what other people think about it..
A man stays man no matter what hairstyle he wears...Im sure you don't look like a woman...lol...I am a male who likes to wear women s Hairstyles. I wear my hair in a long bob with bangs.?
Its your hair, you can cut it the way you want it.
Who cares what people think? Are you really bothered by what small-minded, judgmental people think?
Whatever blows your dress up. Each to their own.
neglect what others say
do what you want, it won't make you any less of a man.

What are some good women's hairstyles for fine, thin hair?

What women's hairstyles are popular in America right now?
When I left awhile ago it was the ponytail at the headband that was so popular. Also the little pomp where bangs should be and the emo- like sweep to the side.
Is there anything else that's becoming popular or trendy? I've seen like an 80's type fringe for bangs in Russia, but that's about it. And I don't know if they where really trying to be 'stylin' or if they were just still clutching the hairstyle from their generation.
