Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?

I say the 80's...the teased out big hair was just awful !!Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?
All the decades where I was not alive. I can't appreciate them since I never witnessed them except in pictures.Which decade do you think had the worst women's hairstyles?
I;m not sure Kacie, I would have to say the 1910 when women didn't have rights and had to wear that stupid bonnet Talk about lack of hairstyle or choice i should say. I like todays hairstyles on women looks so licious.

I'd say cave women had it the worst...they'd spend all day at the salon and the guys would hit them in the head and drag them home by their hair..
Yes I would agree the 80's, but the men didn't do any better that decade. Curly perms for guys were all the rage, and how can you ever forget the hairstyles inspired by the band ';A Flock of Seagulls';?

Then there was the black men's 80's hairstyle of a tall afro with a flat top and razored sides. Add to all of this a brightly dyed leather waist length jacket with huge shoulder pads and a v shaped zippered front and you have one hideous decade of fashion for all. It's a wonder all breeding didn't stop and the human race die out during the 80's!!!

Well, after recently seeing my 8th grade picture where I had this huge peacock teased out monstrosity at the top of my forehead, I would have to say the 80's.





I mean, maybe it wouldn't have looked so bad if I had curly/frizzy hair or something but my hair was completely straight, except for my poofed out bangs.

Those 50's buns or whatever they were, weren't to hot.
i am so with you! their hair was way too much, with that mousse build up and frizziness. it makes me pee myself from disgust. lol
well, lets go through them:


1920's: bob cut, not that bad.


1930's: curly bob, again, not bad. kind of cute actually, for that time.


1940's: curly updos-very elegant.


1950's: ponytails! cute


1960's: big with waves on the ends...minory strange, depending on the hairstyle


1970's: feathered hair, pretty basic


1980's: attack of the hairsprayed perms!!! i'm with you on this one.





I'd have to say the 1980's take the cake on this one, with the 1960's taking a close second.
